At MOSAIC Family Counseling Center, every therapist brings unique skills, experience, and compassion to the work of helping clients heal and grow. Zach is committed to creating a safe, supportive space where clients can explore challenges, build resilience, and take meaningful steps toward change.

Zach is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (provisional) and has earned a Master of Arts from the University of Iowa. He implements person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, internal family systems therapy, and integrates many additional theories into his approach in order to meet each client's unique needs.
It is important to Zach that clients feel safe to explore, and be, their authentic selves in therapy. His main goal is to provide a space in which clients can embrace themselves and manage life's adversities. He works to achieve this by practicing multiculturally competent counseling, affirmative care, and trauma-informed care. He believes the client-therapist relationship is most effective when it is collaborative.
Zach works with individuals facing challenges with interpersonal relationships, identity, life transitions, and self-esteem. He has professional experience working with adults, clients within the LGBTQIA+ community, and is excited to work with people of all populations.

By drawing from these modalities, I create a personalized and supportive space where clients can process past experiences, improve emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and move toward meaningful healing and growth.
I work with adults and adolescents navigating a range of concerns, including mood disorders, eating disorders and body image concerns, interpersonal relationship challenges, life transitions, identity exploration, and self-esteem. I have a special passion for working with members of the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities, and I strive to provide inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care that supports healing and personal growth.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and centered around creating a space where you can feel safe to show up as your full, authentic self. I believe that each person brings unique strengths, and I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs and goals.
I primarily use person-centered therapy, internal family systems (IFS), and motivational interviewing, and I also draw from multicultural, trauma-informed, and affirmative care principles. Whether you’re navigating identity, relationships, or mental health challenges, I aim to walk alongside you with curiosity and respect, helping you build self-understanding and resilience as you move through life’s complexities.
I welcome clients to bring their faith, spirituality, or holistic values into our work if it feels important to their healing journey. My goal is to honor the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and I approach each session with openness and cultural humility, creating space for you to explore what matters most in a way that aligns with your beliefs and values.
I provide traditional ongoing therapy sessions that are typically 50–55 minutes in length, these sessions are scheduled weekly, bi-weekly or as often as scheduling allows and is needed.

I offer limited evening and weekend therapy session, by appointment only.
When working with adolescents, I prioritize building trust and offering a space where they feel heard, respected, and empowered. I use developmentally appropriate strategies that support emotional regulation, identity development, and self-esteem. I also recognize the importance of collaborating with families and schools when appropriate, while always centering the teen’s voice and autonomy in the therapeutic process.
What sets me apart is my deep commitment to inclusive, affirming, and multiculturally competent care. I strive to make therapy a space where every client—regardless of background, identity, or lived experience—feels truly seen, heard, and supported. I bring both professional experience and personal passion to my work with LGBTQIA+ clients, individuals navigating body image and eating concerns, and those facing challenges with identity, mood, and life transitions. Clients often tell me they appreciate my calm, validating presence and how I foster a therapeutic relationship built on trust, collaboration, and genuine care.
Grief can take many forms and affect us in different ways. Whether you’re mourning the loss of a loved one, a relationship, or a part of your identity or life path, I offer a space to process those experiences with compassion and care. Together, we’ll honor your grief, explore the emotional impact of your loss, and work toward healing at a pace that feels right for you.
I meet you where you are and develop a comprehensive plan that suits your goals. Using known methods, best practices and evidence based therapies, I teach, provide skills, remind you of your resilience & strengths, become curious, consult, counsel and provide therapy for symptoms that interfere with your happiness and day to day life.
Our first session is a chance to begin getting to know each other and to create a foundation of safety and understanding. We’ll start by reviewing the service agreement, informed consent, and other important information about your rights and confidentiality.
After that, we’ll begin a comprehensive assessment to better understand your needs, strengths, and goals. This process helps us clarify what’s been happening in your life and how I can best support you moving forward.
Although the assessment will have some structure, you are welcome to share at your own pace — there’s no rush. The goal of this first meeting is to start building a collaborative partnership focused on your healing and growth.
No, Zach does not yet offer EMDR therapy.
