What is Sarita ’s therapy style and approach to working with clients?

My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, emotional intelligence, and genuine human connection. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to be fully themselves. Whether I’m working with individuals, families, or couples, my goal is to empower each person to access their own inner healing and resilience. I believe that everyone has the capacity to grow, heal, and thrive when given the right tools and support. My sessions are built on compassion, active listening, and a deep respect for each person’s journey. I tailor my work to the unique needs of every client, supporting them as they navigate challenges, build emotional strength, and move toward mental stability.

Does Sarita integrate cultural, faith-based, or holistic perspectives in therapy?

I approach spirituality in therapy with openness, respect, and sensitivity to each client’s personal beliefs and values. I believe that spirituality can be a powerful source of strength, healing, and meaning, and I invite clients to incorporate it into our work together if it aligns with their journey. Whether it involves faith, cultural practices, or a personal sense of purpose, I create space for spiritual exploration in a way that feels authentic and supportive to each individual. My goal is to honor the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—as we work toward healing and growth.

How long are therapy sessions with Sarita , and how often do clients usually meet?

I provide traditional ongoing therapy sessions that are typically 50–55 minutes in length, these sessions are scheduled weekly, bi-weekly or as often as scheduling allows and is needed.

I also provide Intensive Integrative EMDR sessions. Intensive sessions may range from 3 to 8 hours and can be scheduled for one to three consecutive days, or spread out over several months depending on need, presentation, scheduling and travel needs.

I also offer an initial screening session to clarify therapeutic goals and determine the best path forward.

I believe it's essential to live the same values I encourage in my clients, including balance, boundaries, and meaningful connection. By not offering evening and weekend sessions, I protect time to rest and be present with the people who matter most in my life—something I believe is key to long-term well-being and the ability to show up fully for those I support in therapy.

What sets me apart is the genuine, lasting connection I form with my clients. Many have shared that they feel seen, heard, and deeply understood in our work together—often for the first time. I bring warmth, consistency, and compassion into every session, helping clients feel safe enough to open up, even after time away from therapy. My experience supporting individuals through complex trauma, including PTSD, allows me to walk with clients through some of life’s most difficult moments, offering hope, guidance, and encouragement along the way. The trust and healing I help foster aren't just part of the process—they’re the heart of my work

What should I expect in my first session with Sarita ?

Our first session is a chance to begin getting to know each other and to create a foundation of safety and understanding. We’ll start by reviewing the service agreement, informed consent, and other important information about your rights and confidentiality.

After that, we’ll begin a comprehensive assessment to better understand your needs, strengths, and goals. This process helps us clarify what’s been happening in your life and how I can best support you moving forward.
