Erin is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who enjoys working with clients to find creative solutions to problems and to discover new ways of looking at life’s challenges.

As a fluent Spanish speaker (Spanish is her second language, learned while living abroad), Erin completed her Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology at Our Lady of the Lake University, which specializes in training bilingual therapists to be culturally competent in their work with Latino clients. She has experience working with immigration issues and stress, families adjusting to life in a new home, and trauma. She also administers psychological evaluations for immigration proceedings.

As a clinical supervisor, Erin also enjoys working with new therapists to help them develop their clinical skills. Currently, Erin supervises a team of Spanish-speaking interns and therapists that work to reduce barriers for Spanish speaking families seeking mental health services.

Erin enjoys working with individual adults and adolescents, couples, families, and groups.  As a former adjunct professor at DMACC and Drake University, she also understands the pressures facing college students and enjoys working with them to reach their full potential. She also has experience working with chronic pain patients. Erin is trained in EMDR and often uses it in sessions to help clients experiencing trauma symptoms and entrenched negative beliefs.
