By drawing from these modalities, I create a personalized and supportive space where clients can process past experiences, improve emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and move toward meaningful healing and growth.
I specialize in working with individuals of all ages who are navigating challenges such as stress and anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, emotional regulation, relationship issues, life transitions, and grief and loss. These experiences can feel overwhelming, but with the right support, I believe meaningful change is possible. I tailor my approach to meet your unique needs and goals, helping you develop practical tools, gain new insight, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
My approach to therapy is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I believe every client is the expert of their own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as we explore challenges, build insight, and move toward meaningful change. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and supported as you work through life’s struggles. I tailor my approach to meet each person’s unique needs, drawing from evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Systemic approaches. Whether you're dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, relational concerns, life transitions, or grief, I strive to empower you with tools and skills to overcome barriers and build a more fulfilling life.
I value and respect the importance of faith, spirituality, and holistic well-being in the healing process. I welcome clients to bring their spiritual beliefs, cultural values, and whole-person perspectives into therapy. When aligned with your goals, I’m open to integrating those elements in a way that supports your emotional, mental, and spiritual growth. My aim is to honor what’s meaningful to you and create a space where your beliefs and values are acknowledged and supported throughout your therapeutic journey.
I provide traditional ongoing therapy sessions that are typically 50–55 minutes in length, these sessions are scheduled weekly, bi-weekly or as often as scheduling allows and is needed.

I offer limited evening and weekend therapy session, by appointment only.
I provide therapy for couples and family counseling in Iowa. I work closely with couples and families to support and heal relationships. With an attachment focused lens we work to create deeper connections and care in the relationship attending to attachment/relationship ruptures and create space for healing.
What sets me apart is the depth of experience I bring from over 20 years in the non-profit human services field. This background has shaped my deep empathy, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to meeting people where they are. I’m passionate about helping individuals of all ages navigate life’s challenges, and I bring a calm, grounded presence to therapy that fosters trust and connection. My clients often share that they feel genuinely heard, encouraged, and supported in our work together. I find purpose in helping people uncover their strengths, discover new perspectives, and instill hope for what’s ahead. No matter where you are in your journey, I’m here to help guide you toward healing, growth, and lasting change.
Grief is a deeply personal journey, and I strive to create a compassionate, supportive space where clients can process their loss in a way that feels authentic to them. Whether you're grieving the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or another significant life change, I meet you where you are—with empathy, patience, and care. Together, we’ll explore the emotions that come with grief, build coping strategies, and honor the meaning of what was lost while gently moving toward healing and hope for the future.
I meet you where you are and develop a comprehensive plan that suits your goals. Using known methods, best practices and evidence based therapies, I teach, provide skills, remind you of your resilience & strengths, become curious, consult, counsel and provide therapy for symptoms that interfere with your happiness and day to day life.
Our first session is a chance to begin getting to know each other and to create a foundation of safety and understanding. We’ll start by reviewing the service agreement, informed consent, and other important information about your rights and confidentiality.
After that, we’ll begin a comprehensive assessment to better understand your needs, strengths, and goals. This process helps us clarify what’s been happening in your life and how I can best support you moving forward.
Although the assessment will have some structure, you are welcome to share at your own pace — there’s no rush. The goal of this first meeting is to start building a collaborative partnership focused on your healing and growth.
No. Annie will be trained in EMDR this year and then can provide EMDR Therapy.
Whether you're starting therapy for the first time or returning to deepen your healing, we're here for you.
