Responsibilities:
As a CADC/IADC, your primary duties will include:
- Substance Use Assessments: Conduct comprehensive substance use assessments to understand clients' unique needs, history, and challenges related to substance use.
- Letter Writing: Articulate and document assessment findings in a clear and concise manner, ensuring accurate and thorough communication.
- Referrals and Recommendations: Provide expert recommendations and referrals tailored to each client's specific needs, fostering a collaborative and supportive approach to their recovery journey.
- Reporting Requirements:Ā Ensure compliance with state regulations by meticulously completing reporting requirements via the IBHRS reporting system.Ā
- Providing guidance and mentoring to other clinicians who navigate alcohol and drug issues clinically.
Needed Skills:
- Valid Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification or (IADC)
- Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for individuals facing substance use challenges
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with IBHRS state reporting system preferred but not required
- Clinical experience working with SUD programming, groups and individuals
