Michaela serves clients at our Urbandale office, Dallas County Hospital on Mondays, and by telehealth.

 

Michaela is a provisionally licensed mental health counselor who earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern College (Iowa) in May 2024.

Michaela looks forward to working with individuals of all ages and concerns but is especially passionate about issues such as stress and anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and body image. She is
also open to Christian-based counseling opportunities.

Michaela utilizes Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Systemic approaches. She aims to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere in which clients can show up exactly as they are every session.

Michaela believes her clients are the experts of their own lives and experiences, and therefore play an active role in goal setting and treatment outcomes. Through her collaborative, integrative approach to the counseling relationship, Michaela believes clients will find the power within themselves to bring positive change to their lives.
