We provide this training once or twice a year.

This six‑hour continuing education course is designed for licensed mental health professionals in Iowa who seek to become qualified supervisors under Iowa administrative rule. The training provides a comprehensive overview of supervisory roles and responsibilities, key legal and ethical frameworks, evidence‑informed supervision practices, documentation and supervision planning, and strategies for effective developmental support of supervisees. Upon completion, participants will be equipped to design and implement supervision plans in accordance with Iowa’s licensure requirements, support supervisees toward independent licensure, and safeguard ethical and regulatory compliance.

By the end of this course, participants will meet requirements for listing with the State of Iowa as an approved Clinical Supervisor.
